Update 15/10/16 : Changed main outfits and udpated reference sheet.

Note: Porteño represents the area that traditionally belang to the State of Buenos Aires during XIX Century, otherwise known as the Rio de la Plata area, as Buenos Aires Province is known as the Porteño Province and is still heavily cultural, socially and politically influenced by CABA and has a significative economic dependancy from the city.
Note 2 : In all honesty, I´d rather have 2 characters so I can work better and develope them each on their own stereotypes ( the gaucho and porteño that little seem to meet ) instead of making one single character that its a crazy fuss of them and suffers of bipolarity. I´ve always found strange how all of my fellow Argentines recognize this division ( because its very real ) but then struggle trying not to lean one single personification more towards one or the other ( usually prevailing the porteño one cause its the most internationally known ), so I´d rather respect the differences between them and develope them freely, separately, without having to deal with a mentally unstable fusion, and that not taking history into account. .

( Prepare to read because its HUGE )

" Los hermanos sean unidos,
esa es la ley primera,
tengan union verdadera,
en cualquiera el tiempo sea,
porque si entre ellos se pelean,
los devoran los de afuera."
--- "Martin Fierro" de Jose Hernandez.

"Brothers be united/ thats the prime law / shall they have true unity / at any time it be / because if they fight each other / outsiders will devour them".
((This quote has a lot of historical importance cause it helped a lot to create a national sentiment of unity integrating both identities - from the provinces and from Buenos Aires- after long years of civil wars that had almost destroyed the country. For this matter, I thought it would be useful as introduction.)

Bullet; BlueBullet; WhiteBullet; Blue || The Basics ||

Official Nation Name: República Argentina ; Confederación Argentina ; Nación Argentina ; Provincias Unidas del Río de la Plata  & Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.

Before I go on, I´ll explain this. Historically, the city of Buenos Aires and the Confederation of Provinces have always acted as separated entities, and people from both bands loathe being confused between each other. If you call “Porteño”, someone from Buenos Aires, to a “Provinciano” , they´ll go mad, and the same goes vice-versa. There are also many reasons, but I´ll explain them item by item through the profile.

The differences between them are also the reason this Nation has 4 official names. “Republica” is used to name them both, “Nation” refers only to the 23 provinces that conform Provinciano ; “Confederación” refers to the provinces but excluding the Patagonia, and “Provincias Unidas “ is kept for historical heritage. Im explaining this now , because it has historical importance.

Human Names:  Facundo Tahiel Moreno Garzía ( Argentina Provinciano ) & Mario Jordi Moreno Garzía ( Argentina Porteño ).

I choose the surname “Moreno” in reference to the Moreno family. Mariano Moreno was the ideologist of the Revolution of May, when people declared their own freedom from Spain, and is people´s favourite national hero. Manuel Moreno was one of the first professional doctors of the country and one of the ideologists of the retake of Buenos Aires during the second civil war and one of his grandsons was a pioneer of the Patagonia exploration. “Facundo” is a popular gaucho name through the 23 provinces, because of Facundo Quiroga, an important and widely admired figure through the times of the Confederation, and “Mario” is a popular name is Buenos Aires, many famous journalists, singers and actors called that way. Garzía is a common surname.

Their second names come from them accepting their heritages of origin. "Tahiel" is a Tehuelche name meaning "The gifted one" , as Tehuelches were usually very caring and jealous parents. "Jordi" is the Catalan equivalent to "Jorge", a very common name in BsAs and very often mixed with Mario.

Genders: male.
Human Age: 23 ( Provinciano ) & 21 ( Porteño )

Provinciano´s age takes into consideration the pre-colombine and the colonial times, tough during most of them he remained a little child of no more than 4, being no more than 11-12 when reaching Independence.

Porteño´s age is marked by the second foundation, tough he was born on the first one. Much like his brother, he  remained a little child for more than half his life, and only began to grow significantly after independence. In his case, since during his time as State of Buenos Aires he developed way more than his brother, he aged quite a lot in those years, allowing him to become a teenager quite fast.

Birthdays: May 25 ( Provinciano ) & June 11 ( Porteño )

May 25 of 1810 is celebrated as Revolution Day, peoples favourite national day, which is considered the date of the birth of the country as such, since the Spanish were quicken out immediately after. June 11 of 1580 is the day of the Second Foundation of Buenos Aires. The first settlement, from 1536, had to be evacuated due to the constant fight with the natives, different diseases and famine, but the same people that left returned to make the second foundation.

Languages: Provinciano speaks what he calls “Castillan” Spanish, being composed by a large portion of Spanish and bits of Guarani, Italian and Aonikenk ( language spoken by the Tehuelche natives ). On the province of Corrientes and Misiones Guaraní is co-official and is also widely spoken in the provinces of Formosa and Chaco, so he can understand it and speak some. German is spoken on the province of Cordoba and some areas of the Patagonia , so the same applies. Welsh is spoken on the province of Chubut, being official, so he can understand some Welsh as well. English is widely spoken in the Patagonia and taught as second language at schools on most of his territory, so he speaks some English too.

Porteño speaks whats known as Rioplatense Spanish, a mix of Spanish, Italian and French, languages that he also speaks due to the strong Italian and French influence in his history and culture ( they´re also required to graduate into any career on his universities ). He speaks an almost perfect English too, since is requited for practically every job and widely taught and spoken too.

They are known from the overuse of the toggle “che”, sometimes to recall attention, sometimes to empathize something, and sometimes for no reason at all.

Heights: 1,78 cms ( Provinciano ) ; 1,73 cms ( Porteño )

Average heights. Provinciano is quite taller due to the Tehuelche roots ( see image attached next ).

Bullet; BlueBullet; WhiteBullet; Blue || Outfits and Appearences ||

Appearances:  Provinciano has quite a strong built, big feet , wide back, strong arms, from his time working his land and practicing sports. He has wavy and abundant light brown hair that he will usually wear very messy, a slight tanned, fair skin and hazel eyes. The curl on the left of his head represents the province of Misiones, that’s curiously shaped that way, and the short beard is common among gauchos. He has 5 noticeable scars on his body and various minor ones. One on his left ankle coming from the Revel Patagonia incidents, a second on his right side, above the ribs, from the second civil war, a third above his right nipple from the independence battles on the north of his territory, a 4th on his back from the Dirty War and a 5th big one on his left shoulder from the War of Triple Alliance.

Porteño is more skinny and his complexion is considerably weaker compared to his brother. He has dark auburn, short straight hair , light skin and blue eyes. The curl on the top right of his head represents Recoletta, a famous, rich and emblematic neighborhood , and the mole, on the left of his face above his mouth, represents his port. Sometimes he limbs on his right knee, representing the never healing social wound from the Death Flights during the last Militar Coup D´Etate, which left a big scar on his right knee ( I imagine that the Ezeiza airport would be somewhere around his leg, and the place is full of incidents ). He also has a burning mark below that scar from the first civil war, and two little ones above his left nipple, from the first English Invasion and the Bombing of Buenos Aires incidents.

Attires: Provinciano is usually seen wearing a modern version of his traditional gaucho clothes, but he will wear a semi-formal suit for meetings. Porteño is classier, and is hard to see him on casual clothes. Up to the 80´s the usage of hats was obligatory and was considered unrespectful not to wear one in public, so he still wears a fedora or ghibli hat on occasions, refusing to abandon the habit at all. The same goes for Provinciano, who still loves to wear a beret or a Pampa´s leather hat.

Bullet; BlueBullet; WhiteBullet; Blue || Personalities and Trivia ||

Personalities:  Both brothers are known to be very proud and protective of whom they are, what they represent. That pride, often confused as arrogance, is a common threat between them, and though each has developed in different ways, both comes from their unconditional love towards their people.

Provinciano is very traditionalist, often even conservative, but fairly unbiased, it takes him lots of time to accept new things, but he eventually does. He knows his strengths, his weaknesses and is very humble about them. Though he can be really lazy and loathes to work during lunchtime and the afternoon, moments of the day in which the sut hits the hardest, once he gets his head into something he will obsess with doing it right, becoming very competitive, more than often with himself, having a great spirit of superation and being good at motivating himself and other around him. Tough he´s competitive with overall everything and everyone, he´s good at teamwork, and rather than abrubtely taking the lead, he will always take a moment to hear everyone´s ideas and try to incorporate them. He has a blind faith on the originality and the spirit of his people, and always loves to listen what they´ve got to say, or just give them motivation to follow their dreams. He believes that one´s biggest treasure is the Courage to pursue ones dreams, defining impossibilities as just bareers drawn by fear, that as long as one does not give up, anything can be possible, and is proud to preach it among his population, always spreading a positive aura among them. He has a strong creative side, usually being a rookie with words but great expressing himself throught actions, especially playing music, one of his most endeared hobbies being "Payar", singing about life windsome.

He has an easy going, very nurturing and kind nature,  he will never hesitate to help someone in need, reason for what he´s often mistaken as naïve and innocent. This shows especially on the treat he gives to his people and how preaches kindness and cooperation among them. Argentina is known through all Latin America and the kindest country,  as in every catastrophe or situation of extreme need, his people tend to break records on sending humanitarian help. For this manner, although usually judged for his pride, Provinciano is well respected as the first country one can ask for help when in need.

Far from being an overly generous, old-fashioned gaucho, those that have known him for a long time can tell the opposite. He has a long history of being brave and reckless on the battlefield, always fighting against the odds and ignoring consequences, being, through all his history, very strong-headed and fiercely overprotective of his land, his freedom and his people. All of his neighbours coincide on that, below the tranquil and sometimes troubled façade he shows to the outside, he´s someone not to be overly bothered cause once angered he can’t control his outbursts and can easily explode in violence, just as that he doesn’t know his limitations and his seemingly unlimited courage can drive him into taking severe risks that he later regrets. His culture of “every traitor must die” is proof that he can be sanguinary, grudge full and merciless when his people are hurt, and he has the bad habit of taking out his knife to the minimum offense towards them. For this reason, tough Provinciano says he simply hates to have his average tranquility broken, he´s often referred as a Sleeping Volcano. Once in a while he sincere up and admits that, effectively, he has serious troubles controlling his anger.
Although prideful of his achievements and his people´s successes, he also acknowledges the dark moments of his history , which, despite not willing to admit it openly, haunt him on his insides in the form of guilt. For this reason he may often seem hypocritical when offering unconditional help to people he´s hurt in the past, but he´s truly just trying to make amends.

Porteño, on the other side, is known for being flat-out sassy, blunt and very arrogant. Often confused as ambitious, childish and bitter, Porteño is actually pretty melancholic. He likes to say that his heart is represented by San Telmo, the birthplace of tango. He thinks of life as a one, with ups and lows, a perfect mix of slow , sad melodies that can rush into impressive fast twists and jumps in seconds. He likes to say that life is unpredictable and one has always have to be prepared for it, and although being easily adaptable to new situations, he will always take a moment to analyze everything before he gives a new step. Those close to him know that, under the childish and arrogant image that he likes to show, he´s  very cynical , controlling and emotionally unstable, often afraid of losing power. Meticulous and always melancholic of a better past, he will always take a moment of solitude to analyze everything around and sink into books. This is one of the reasons Porteños are famous for being great psychoanalysts and over thinkers, but terrible hanging emotions and empathy with others.

His hot temper is a reflection of it. Unlike Provinciano, it is not hard to make him angry, being even more volatile than him, he curses like a sailor and can be equally sanguinary if driven mad enough, but he´s more forgiving and very possessive of whom he loves, mainly for his fear of losing control over his family, what makes him considere consequences more than his brother. Porteño is also known for his fast mind and being extraordinary cunning and cheeky, but unpredictable. He always seem to have a solution in hand for every problem that pops out,  but his ways can always be tacked as unconventional and completely mad, like the time he stopped a bankrupt by taking down his own government and going into a long period of anarchy ( 2001 disaster ), or his cultural corruption, of sustaining most of his economy on his ( many but effective ) local mafias or his infamous intelligence service, in which he , ironically, trusts blindly. He has quite a reputation of being revellious, for the numerous revolutions , massive protests and social uprisings characterizing his history.
In contrast to his older brother, Porteño rarely feels guilt for the bad things he does, nor even ashamed of participating on their Intelligence services, which are very infamous. He considers himself to be beyond Good and Evil, and sees the World as a place where only the smarter ones can survive, that´s unfair and merciless. This tracks to his childhood and teenhood, facing the cruelty of his own older brother and even having moments where he thought he was alone. He thought and realized that the only way of fighting to survival was forgetting about mercy, and this stands still today to his adulthood. He feels little to no remorse about doing bad things or even killing as long as this benefits his people, often giving him a cynical aura he seems to enjoy. Deep inside he recognizes the value of mercy and wishes he hasnt grown up like that, but still sees is as nessesary. Very ironically, out of his family he´s the one who recognizes the value of life the most and, having his mindset of "the means justify the ways" , understandse easily the harsh decisions of other Nations, making him very forgiving and compassionate with those who share his same spite and faith.

He has a crazy love for ironies, most of his humor sense always involving some kind of it, saying it matches well with his views on life, tough this goes mostly misunderstood for his family , who often level him as simply “crazy”. This brings the most misunderstandings with Provinciano, who´s more simple-minded and loathes complexities, often resulting in heavy political and cultural clashes. For this manner, both brothers have picked the bad habit of calling each other names, “Crazy little brother “ and “ Ingenuous gaucho” being the most light-hearted ones.

Aside, both brothers have in common a very friendly and charming attitude once they come into confidence with others, what has gained them fame of being flirty, as they will do whatever it takes to make one feel home. Despite being one of the traditional most catholic countries on the continent, neither is a fully loyal followers and both have a great tolerance with other cults and believes, like Native American Pachamama cult on the NorthWest region , which Provinciano doesnt mind participating in, and Pantheist concepts. Both dislikes how intolerant Catholic church can be, and often gets in trouble with their Church institution for not following all their demands, claiming that some of them are either ridiculous or oppressive.
They´ll always want to show the best of them, making sure people remember them as good, cool friends that one can always count with. After all, they represent Argentina. They can be very chaotic, but they will always find a way to make you love them.

Trivia:

-Both brothers have a big passion for sports, especially football, something they can go mad for. Both are fair players, but they have bigger strengths.
---Provinciano is a sucker for adrenaline, being a fan of sky-diving and flying, being a good pilot, and medicine, being worldwide recognized as a center of medical advances ( he has free health care and his center of medical investigation, in Rosario, has produced many important advances  in the last 50 years ).

---Porteño, meanwhile, is a lover of culture and literature. He will always take the weekends to attend some cultural events, and it’s the Literature Capital of the World, hosting the biggest Literature fair each April.

-They also share an unconventional love for music. Provinciano is very skilled with the guitar and a proud Malambo dancer, and Porteño is famous for being a great bandoneon-player and tango dancer.

- They never agree on which sport is better: Pato ( preferred by Provinciano ) or Polo ( preferred by Porteño ).

-Despite the lack of agreement of whether it originates from Paraguay or Argentina, both are heavy maté drinkers.

-Both are known for being bad losers. The confidence they put on everything is so high that, when things go wrong, they go mad. Provinciano will usually isolate himself and go uncooperative for a couple days, and Porteño will stress himself out, being a heavy smoker. During these times, they both become highly irritable, and others prefer to avoid them to prevent a violent reaction, especially from Provinciano. Porteño may curse like a fool, but he calms down after a cigarette.

-Aside, if they do have something in common is their lack of respect for the law. While Provinciano usually skips it to apply the old gaucho codes, Porteño can be very corrupted and, when things dont go the way he likes, he will never hesitate to cheat and cope with any of his mafias.

- Provincianos biggest fear are flooding’s, which are the main natural disaster on his territory, and the only one he cant handle. His history is so full of deadly floodings, and they cause such economic losses, that he even became afraid of swimming. ( Argentines are known in South America for being able to drown even in a glass of water )
--–Brazil used to make fun of him because of this, but gifted him a float when he understood the problem was serious.

- Porteño, on his side, is afraid of ghosts and everything he cannot figure out in general, like magic, superstitions, etc. Being very Catholic, he tries to stay away from Pagan cults, but, ironically, he has a Deads Day, thanks to the influence of Bolivia. During that day he will stay home and avoid to go out unless it is for an emergency. Once in a while he will try to face his fears with humor and have fun, but he´s still a big coward on the matter. ( This backs to the Spanish Inquisition in the Americas, and when the English tried to promote Halloween in Buenos Aires, centuries later, people were terrified by the concept. )

- Thought Provinciano is supposed to represent the 23 provinces, the provinces of Buenos Aires and Tierra del Fuego historically belong to Porteño. Due to the economic dependence and the demographic distribution, Porteño still acts like a boss to Buenos Aires, and he´s still close with Tierra del Fuego. Provinciano only intervenes between them if Porteño is being too harsh with Buenos Aires.
--- Provincianos nickname, "The End of the World", comes from Tierra del Fuego being the most austral territory of the World.--- He´s commonly referred as "Barn of the World" due to the Pampas region having Worlds most fertile lands.

- Although commonly known as the King of El Plata, Porteño is also called "Paris of the Americas" due to his strong French influence and the considerable ensemblance of Buenos Aires City to Paris.

- Although physically ensembling Spain a lot, he disliked being called out for it. Not for denying his colonial past nor hating Spain, but because he considers that, despite being heavily influenced by him, he has developed a much relevant national culture and identity that should distinguish him for what´s he is in his presentHaving been the one Latin American who fought Spain the most, not only on his own territory but through most of the continent to help the rest, he heavily dislikes being leveled as “just an ex-colony”. No. He was the one who fought the most to tear Spanish colonization apart, and that, from his point of view, merits more recognition.
- -While Provinciano dislikes being confused with Spain due to his strong mark on his culture, Porteño is very proud of the strong French heritage he received since teenhood and that gave him his blue eyes, which he´s very jealous of. He admires France in a deep level and looks up to him, and they certainly get along really well, France not seem to minding this adoration. Porteño know he´s often compared to Parisians, something that only boosts his ego more, and will organize events related to French culture among his population whenever he has the chance.

- Provinciano dislikes being told “indian” , but he recognizes himself as a mestizo with Tehuelche roots and acknowledges the presence of other aboriginal groups at the NorthWest of his territory. He´s comfortable being fair skinned and wont mind getting tanner or paler according to different weathers, and gets bothered when people tell him he´s supposed to be either tanner or whiter. That includes his little brother too, who is still biased towards Europeans and doesnt feel like part of Latin America at all, not just for being the paler skinned one, but because of his culture being more European based and himself lacking of native American blood. He dislikes being told "latino" and rather preffers to be recognized as just himself on his own.  He knows he´s heavily criticised by other Latinos for these, but he calls them hypocrites as they used to bully him as a child as well, putting the blame on them that he doesnt feel like he fits in.

-Siesta is a sacred concept for Provinciano, and it can tick him off when Porteño calls him “shitty lazy bastard” for it. He trusts those rest time can save him energy to perform better later, and he´s grown too fond of this habit to change too. That doesnt make him lazy. He´s got a lot of energy and will work truly hard when enthusiastic enough, always trying to overpass himself on his own past achievements

-Both have pets. Facundo has 2,
an hornero bird called Pocho, who always makes different nests on his various houses across the country, and a female puma called  Pomperita, which he put a collar on and takes everywhere he can, even permitting her to live in his house.  Porteño has 1, a male sparrow called Betún.
Facundo is also very fond of cows and feels an enormous respect for them,
denying seeing them as nothing but food and appreciating their noble and soft nature, understanding them on a deep level and even singing to them when he has the chance to herd them.  With horses, although greatly admiring them and being an outstanding rider, he´d rather keep some emotional distance, remembering all the times in the past he grew too attached to them and later having to sacrifice them in war or once they were too old. Overall, he´s a big animal lover and can grow attached to any animal, but he still blames himself for not taking proper care of their environment like he should

He had a small participation at the Spanish civil war, sending people to fight alongside his mother Catalunya,
due to the great percentage of Catalans who had immigrated to his place due to the conflict. He also assisted her with food and medications when she was lacking them during the Spanish Flu and the famines at the Fraco dictatorship, something thats still remembered in Spain. This is not only the moment he reunited with Catalunya and made up with Spain, giving up his past hatred for him, but also the moment he adopts his original name, Jordi, as his current second one. Bullet; BlueBullet; WhiteBullet; Blue || History::

( Prepare to read folks, because I went craaaaaazy with it blame my passion for History, absolutely not sorry, I loved it . )

-Pre colonial times and colonial era:  Provinciano was born being a Tehuelche ( from the mapundungun “Chewel” – brave , and “che” , people), the larger group of natives on current territory, going from Tierra del Fuego to half the country. The Tehuelches were nomads and they would disperse into separate regions and families, reason why the Spanishes thought they were different natives, but the favourite hunting grounds were the pampas, where Spain found him as a tiny baby. Since none of the Spanish settlements on the territory were founded on the natives territories and they had no contact with them other than occasional battles, he quickly forgot about his past, adopted the Spanish culture entirely and even learnt to hate and fight the natives. He was put under the power of the Virroyalty of Perú, but unlike his neighbor colonies, he was sent to live in an isolated house along the capital of his territory, Buenos Aires, Paraguay and Uruguay. Though he had little contact with them, the little he had was bitter. The older colonies didn’t want them to grow up and compete with them, so they will take all of Spains attention and lend them almost no money. That,  plus the continues battles against Portugal and England to claim him as their own territory,  made him very bitter towards Spain and the older colonies.
Porteño, on his own, had it worse. He was born as the Village of Buenos Aires, in a marsh zone separated from the natives territory. The last would often attack him, and Spain wouldn’t pay him much attention either, often ignoring him through the long periods of famine and disease expansions that would result in a high mortality of his habitants and, ironically, brutally punishing him and imposing him though sanctions when his ships wouldn’t arrive in time from his port or something was missing, ignoring the fact that most of the time , Porteño and his people had to assault the ships landing on his port to survive.  . All of those factors contributed to their decision to declare their freedom from Spain, and when they did it, in 1810, they were full of hatred towards him.

XIX Century: When the two brothers, along with Paraguay and Uruguay, decided to declare their freedom and Independence to become a sovereign country, the only thing they knew was that they wanted freedom, but none has idea of how to form neither a government nor a constitution. That originated a lot of disputes between the 4, to the point that , when Independence was declared and the war against Spain finally over, they were splitting apart. Paraguay was the first one to go, though she remained as an autonomous territory until her own independence by half century. Uruguay was the second to go in 1825, because she couldn’t agree with neither Provinciano nor Porteño, and aspired some of Provincianos provinces as her own. At the same time, Portugal , Brazil and Spain rushed to invade her,  what originated the war of Brazil. Though the Argentinian brothers technically won the war, Uruguay only accepted to sign the end of it with her Independence.
After that, trouble came from everywhere. Though the two brothers agreed that they wanted to be a country called Argentina, they began to fight for the prime role. Porteño controlled the port, the major font of richness, and was reluctant to share it unless Provinciano accepted an Unitary form of government, with the center being Buenos Aires. Provinciano refused, preferring a Federal form of government, each province being independent from one another, and augmented that, being his territory the biggest producer of supplies and prime materials to export, he had the right to decide what kind of government to have. This resulted in a long and a civil war that reduced both´s population considerably, and got even worse due to shorter wars with neighbor countries and European potencies. When Provinciano even went to the extreme of burning down Buenos Aires and forcing Porteño to the exile in Uruguay, Porteño not only took back his territories, but the civil war got bloodier, sometimes entire towns getting massacred. They tried to reach and end on 1853 by signing a constitution, but Poteño would go in disadvantage and, instead of signing it, he declared himself a separate country, the State of Buenos Aires, but peace was signed. It only lasted 10 years, when due to a confusion caused by a general from the Argentine Confederation, people in Buenos Aires thought they were going to get invaded. It resulted in a new war, in which Porteño practically invaded Provinciano and forced him to sign a constitution in which both had equal benefits, but he wouldn’t resign the control over his port.
The country reunified, but both brothers had little to no time to enjoy peace when the Paraguayan War/War of Tripple Alliance, began.  Though the War was won and new territories were acquired, it had a high human cost and, after the Dessert Conquest ( the acquirement of the Patagonia ) the population of both Porteño and Provinciano were devastated and economy almost destroyed. They had to submit their ego and start signing threads of commerce with France and England. This meant the rebirth of Provincianos rural activity that in few time gained him the nickname “Barn of the World”, and Porteños rise as the richest city and cultural center of Latin America, gaining the nickname of “King of El Plata”.

-- 1900-1983: This was a combusted period of their history. Though the relationship got significantly better and their economy reached the best moment of their entire history, being, for more than 50 years, World´s 5th economy, they were hard political times. The relationship with most of their neighboring countries got normalized, but this was mostly due to the argentine huge army and the memories of the wars from the past century forcing them to submit to them.
During both World Wars they remained neutral and, still having very little population due to the past century´s wars, they accepted immigrants from all around the world, but especially Europe. This meant the restore of relationships with Spain, which got gradually better as years passed by, an almost familiar relationship between Porteño and France, and both Argentina Brothers with the Italy ones, and a grudgefull but great commercialization with England, highly busting their economy. Though most of this era, they would have a military dictatorship every 10 or 15 years,  culture, education, technology and industry were on their best times and were always well cared for, so both brothers would take their hard political times with humor rather than with paranoia.
That changed with the last military dictatorship, on 1976. They were having a hard time dealing with America, because he wanted to submit them to his capital influence due to the Cold War. The brothers refused to all cost, and then America financed the military dictatorship of the 1976, inside what was known as the Plan Condor. People began to be persecuted by their ideologies, books were burnt in mass, civil rights suppressed, the youth got persecuted and massacred , the industrial infrastructure destroyed, people fell into poverty and famine, and many began to fight the dictatorship back. It resulted in a civil war called the Dirty War, and just in Buenos Aires, more than 30 thousand people were thrown to the Rio de la Plata in the called Death Flights. People began to disappear, thousands of corpses would be found in isolated areas, crimes would never be solved and people lived in constant terror and fear. To prevent their people to join forces against them, the military generals separated both brothers, what only affected the economy worse. The Malvinas/Falkland war that was both promoted and finished by America made the situation unstainable. A general betrayed the Militar Junta and took power of Buenos Aires, their center of command. With his actions, each of the provinces got isolated, and when their troops couldn’t sustain their situation anymore, the country reunified back and returned to democracy.

-  1976-Current Days: After the last military dictatorship, both brothers were traumatized by the horror they saw. Still today they both have nightmares and find corpses from those times, what only digs in more in a social wound that never seems to heal, but it also taught them about the value of life, both now being recognized widely for their work at the UN promoting peace and acting as conflicts mediators all around the world.
Their economy got deeply affected and never returned to be what it used to, but both Provinciano and Porteño work hard to make those gold times come back. They know that, as long as America keeps his influence in the world, they might never return, but they´re not scared of fighting the hard times either. Even though Porteño became an Autonomous City with his own separate Government and they bicker a lot, they had learnt that their unity is key to overcome every challenge and, just like the very old times of XX century, they stand with their forehead tall when the odds are against them. They have matured, they now understand the value of peace, the value of their unity and the value of freedom. They´re no longer childs, and they´re more patient now, accepting that life has ups and downs, that just the way you can be proud, persecute and fully enjoy times of prosperity, you must also keep your hopes, keep your dignity and, especially, fight for justice in the hardest times.  But most important, now they value their people more than ever, and everything they are. Their joys, their despairs, their madness, their chaos, their successes, their dreams and their pasts. They´re proud to be the Argentina brothers, because they feel their people deserve it.

Bullet; BlueBullet; WhiteBullet; Blue || Relations ||

-          Spain and France: Through most of their lives their relationship with Spain has been very bad and bitter , it has improved since the half of the XX century. Provinciano and Spain often bicker a lot, they have commercial arguments once in a while, but on current days they get a long fairly well. Spain will never stop thinking of him as a strong-headed teenager, and Provinciano still thinks of Spain as an old-fashioned Nation, but deep inside they respect each other and have a lot of things  in common that they enjoy together, like football, cuisine and sharing stories from their history. Porteños relationship with him is better. Since Porteño lacks of native American blood, Spain has always thought of him more like a son, but Porteño used to renegade of it due to the colonial times. During the XX century they worked a lot to build a healthy family relationship, and on current days they enjoy making visits and they know they can always count with each other. Porteño has accepted his Spanish roots and learnt to admire the joyful side of Spain, while, on his side, Spain has gotten proud of Porteños development from a poor Village to one of the Worlds richest cities without his influence. This includes Catalunya, Porteños real mother from the first inhabitants of the Rio de la Plata from Spains regions: for a long time they were isolated and he even felt he lacked a mother, but recontiliated during XX Century and now are very close, their football and cultural exchanges and ties very strong nowadays, and always supporting each other on each their causes, him having inherited Catalunyas revel side.  However, due to the strong french influence, both brothers consider France as an uncle and have a closer vincle with him. Provinciano will be forever thanksful that he introduced him the wine culture, and Porteño deeply admires him, always telling him that he wishes he was like him, and they share a close uncle-nephew relation, having cultural exchanges every year and visiting each other a lot.

- Tsoneka, or “Father Tehuelche”: The representantion of the Tehuelches. Provinciano has not many memories of him pre-colonial times, since Spain took him away at very young age, but met him again after his independence. Thought Tsoneka couldnt convince him of his roots, they did get along very well and Provinciano adopted many of his habits and words. Tsoneka was very pleased and accepted to become his trading partner. When Chile´s mother, Mapuche, invaded his territories and began to murder his people, Provinciano rushed to help him. Though he won the war, it was too late for Tsoneka, and before dying, he passed his territories and his few remaining people to him, telling him that he was proud of him. Provinciano later understood his words, and still remembers him.

-   America and England: The relationship with America has always been really bad, even since the XIX century, and both Provinciano and Porteño avoid him as much as they can. They still haven’t forgiven him for all the trouble he gave them during the XX century and all the lives lost during the Military Dictatorship, and, since America never apologized, they probably never will. They argue a lot because of America continuously imposing sanctions to their economy and their debt, and they deeply distrust him. From all nations in the Continent, they like him the less.

The relationship with England is more complicated. Since their very independence they have allied , bickered and had conflicts every 5 or 10 years. They see him as a grumpy , old-fashioned man, and, though their openly ashamed of the big influence England has had on them through the XX Century, they also like to make fun on him every time they can. Individually, Provinciano loathes him openly, though he recognizes everything would change if he gave him back the Malvinas/Falklands, and every year he insists that they should sit together to have a peaceful dialogue about the issue, tough England never seems to take him very seriously, and is Porteño the one he interacts with him the most. Porteño, has conflicted opinions on him. He doesn’t loathe him as much as Provinciano, but rather sees England like an archenemy, or a rival to compete against whenever he cans. Though he will absolutely never admit it, deep down Porteño admits that England is far wiser and more sensible than him, and admires him for that.

-   Paraguay and Uruguay: They see them as half-siblings, some sort of family, since they share a lot of culture and history together. For a long time, Paraguay kept a big grudge against all of them ( including Uruguay ) for the War of Triple Alliance, but relationships got better during the XX century. On current days Provinciano and her have a friendly relationship, though they might bicker from time to time. Paraguay hasn’t particularly forgotten their crimes during the war yet, and likes to play a lot of jokes of both brothers and sneak into their houses without permission. Provinciano accepts it to some point,  but it irks Porteño. Uruguay is a tad different story. Though they have a lot of differences and disagreements, they have always procured stayed in good terms and they have allied and supported each other uncountable times. On current days Provinciano and Uruguay bicker a lot for borderline issues. Provinciano likes to pick on her calling her a province more, and , in exchange, Uruguay desacknowledges his existence calling Porteño “the only important Argentina”. With the latter, she´s very close. Though Uruguay cant stand how bossy , possessive and arrogant he can be, once he´s gone she misses his cunning and charming side. And Porteño, on his side, is in love with her.

-   Neighbors: They have a great relationship with Perú, whom they consider a great friend. Provinciano and Perú are so close that they openly talk about the other as their best friend, and have helped each other many times. Brazil used to be Provincianos enemy number 1, but after both having hard times with military dictatorships and bad experiences with America during the last century, they had decided to ally and leave the hatred behind. On current days, Brazil and Argentina are on great terms. They bicker a lot, especially about football and Misiones, but on everything else they have promised to always be there for one another, having even a Friendship day. Brazil and Porteño still kind of economically compete once in a while, but they both deeply respect each other now. Chile and Bolivia are different stories. Porteño never truly cared about them, but Provinciano has had to deal with them many times through his history. With both of them it has always been complicated. Through they have been in peace for a long period by now, Bolivia and both Provinciano and Porteño openly dislike each other, playing bad pranks and bad mouthing each other whenever they can. On their own side, Provinciano and Chile had had times when they were very close and actually deeply admired each other, but they also had had times when they were almost in war, and , though in current days they both work a lot to restore the great relationship they had on their gold times, there are still grudges they know they must solve before that happens.

- Other countries of the Americas:
They have embacies on all of them, keeping friendly terms with most. The relation with Mexico, Colombia, Canada and the US is, however, quite tense due to ideological differences, especially with the last. Provinciano has a nice friendship with Cuba too, being one of the countries that supported the Cuban revolution the longest time. With Venezuela they have had their ups and downs all throught their histories, allying in times of Independentist Wars and joining their armies to defeat Spain, having turbulent economical and idological clashes during XX century, stablishing a nice friendship during the first years of XIX and finally distancing again on most recent years.

- Other countries of Europe: Both have nice and ongoing friendships with the Italy and Germany brothers based on past supports and strong inmmigrations, as well as with Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands and Sweden, and they get along with most of the rest. Provinciano has a strong vincle with Russia, having a more than 130 years old friendship without any misteps and having supported each other on many times of need when no other was there, something they like to remind each other of and praise. Meanwhile, Porteño has a nice friendship with Finland due to the shared passion for Tango, and his friendship with Ireland is especially known for its streanght, both having been friends and supported each other even before their respective independences in which they helped each other at, and strongly supporting each´s territorial claims against the UK.

Middle East: Although known for their work on the area acting as conflicts mediators, they´ve have a turbulent treat with both Israel and Iran due to unsolved economic and political issues, Porteño being especially wary of them. They both have a casual but good friendship with Syria and Armenia, recognizing the genocide of the last, and having reciving many regufees from them on many occations, mediating on their conflicts with their neighbours even today. They both recognize Palestine and insist on the need of peacefull dialogue on the conflicts of that region.

Asia: They´ve got embasies on most of countries and keep good relations with all of them. They have a nice friendship with China, although mostly based on strong militar and economic threaties. They also have a good casual friendship with Japan, having two old little Japanese colonies in Buenos Aires Province that the Japanese goverment still cares about.

Oceania: Despite their conflicts with the Commonwealth, they both keep good relations with Australia and New Zealand, and they will occationally meet for sports competitions.

Africa: They keep occational contact with South Africa, Cameroon , Libya and Angola, countries that had met to support each other on past times, and will occationally visit to keep the good terms alive.
